But you have turned it into a bandits' den.'

Isn't it odd that the modern day "Church" doesn't seem to understand this scripture which seems to be obvious. Jesus is teaching here--in action and Word! Jesus drove out people who were selling, using the temple as a market place. He upset the moneychangers, that is, the 'bankers'. And if you look around Jesus is still upsetting bankers today! God does not allow His Temple to be a place of buying and selling or other financial pursuits. It is against His Will and that is Why Jesus put them out!!! God's Temple (God's House, the Church) is to be a house of prayer. That is God's Will for His House. Yet, somehow Prayer Meeting always has a low number of participants.

How is it that today we are building mega complexes, with malls, spas, banks, all kinds of buying and selling and calling them Churches? The thinking is the same as in days of old--this is ok because some of the money goes to the Temple, the Church. Is it money that God is concerned about?

..."Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."

You see, God doesn't have to take sides. He is already LORD of ALL! He is in complete control and His plans never fail! He is ALMIGHTY! He is not going to come over to our side. Our way of thinking, our way of doing things, our way of making laws. But we need Him! We need the mind of Christ, we need the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and we need to follow God's laws! We need to be on the LORD's side. It is "us" who have to choose a side.

This is how we can distinguish

the spirit of truth

from the spirit of falsehood.

DEVOTION - O man! - December 9, 2009

"And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? (Romans 2:3)

There is a lot of judging going on today. But I think we all, (and I am including myself) should be careful. Look at this Scripture again:

"Whenever we feel ourselves feeling justifiably angry about someone's sin, we should be careful. We need to speak out against sin, but we must do so in a spirit of humility. Often the sins we notice most clearly in others are the ones that have taken root in us. If we look closely at ourselves, we may find that we are committing the same sins in more socially acceptable forms. For example, a person who gossips may be very critical of others who gossips about him or her." Romans 2:3 Life Application Bible

Father forgive me for looking at someone else's sin an being angry when I should be angry about my own sin. Against You only have I sinned and done what is wrong in your sight. Judging people is sin. I am sorry please forgive me. In Jesus Name. Amen.

This scripture has a very special meaning to me. This was the scripture card I had in my pocket on the day I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I find that it again has special meaning to me today. Because I have just returned from taking Chris to the ER. He has been having stomach pain, I believe that the LORD is telling me that all is well with Chris.

Well, Perry is still in Atlanta because the pilot of the plane refused to fly it to Nebraska. It was an AirFrance airbus. Delta wanted to clear the plane to fly but the pilot refused to fly it. Praise be To God! Please pray blessings for that pilot! I sensed something about this trip and was praying and Perry asked for prayer in church yesterday! The flight in Atlanta kept being delayed and delayed and finally canceled. I know it was the LORD protecting Perry and everyone on that plane! Please thank Jesus with me today! Perry will be flying out of Atlanta for home at 1:30 p.m. We ask your prayers.

The Real Issue is "No Love of God" and that is what will be Judged!

When you don't love God, you refuse to acknowledge Him as God or obey Him as God! You refuse God's authority over you and lift up your own authority! Human glory demands it's right to do whatever it wants and seeks acceptance and validation from human laws, while blatantly disregarding the Laws of God!

The Real Issue is "No Love of God" and that is what will be Judged!

Whoever holds to my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me; and whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I shall love him and reveal myself to him. John 14:21

Jesus replied: Anyone who loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him. Anyone who does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not my own: it is the word of the Father who sent me. John 14:23-24

They put human glory before God's glory. Jesus declared publicly:

Whoever believes in me believes not in me but in the one who sent me, and whoever sees me, sees the one who sent me. I have come into the world as light, to prevent anyone who believes in me from staying in the dark any more. If anyone hears my words and does not keep them faithfully, it is not I who shall judge such a person, since I have come not to judge the world, but to save the world: anyone who rejects me and refuses my words has his judge already: the word itself that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day. For I have not spoken of my own accord; but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and what to speak, and I know that his commands mean eternal life. And therefore what the Father has told me is what I speak. John 12:43-50

The Real Issue is "No Love of God" and that is what will be Judged!

Look, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me, to repay everyone as their deeds deserve. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who will have washed their robes clean, so that they will have the right to feed on the tree of life and can come through the gates into the city. Good Morning Our Heavenly Father,
Father its once again that a few of your chosen vessels have gathered together to approach your throne of grace. We thank you for another day, we thank you for allowing us to be able to call on you, thank you for your awesome wonder and your greatness. As we pray, we first want to let you know, that we love you, we magnify you and we appreciate you. You are our creator, alpha and omega, the wonderful counselor, the almighty and all wise one. There is no one like you, as we pray, please forgive us for our sins, thank you that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, thank you that our sins are forgiven, thrown as far as the east and west. We thank you that you sent Jesus to pay the debt of all our sins. We dare not take your mercy and grace for granted, but we are grateful for it. Lord we ask that you strengthen each one of us, empower us and we know and believe that we can do all things thru Christ Jesus. We are more than conquerors, we submit unto to God, we submit unto your will, we shall trust in you with all our hearts, leaning not to our own understanding, trusting and believing that you will direct our paths, we speak life into deliverance from bondage, brokenness, illness, we speak life of being whole in you. We understand and know that as we keep our minds upon you, we shall remain in perfect peace, we cast every care upon you, knowing that you will move in due time, we count our trials, tests all joy, knowing that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and as we go thru to get to, we know that you are with us, that nothing will happen without you allowing it, because you are God and you are in total control. We think it not strange of the fiery darts, the temptations, we shall yield to the obedience of your word, the Holy Spirit shall have total control. Thank you that in spite of what we go thru, that all things work together for the good for those who love you and who are called according to your purpose. We bless you, we continue to pray for those who are in the family of God, and even for those who are not, trusting that they too shall come to serve, love and obey you. We ask all these things, we say all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Jesus the one who came and died, that we may live. AMEN.

Then Peter addressed them, 'I now really understand', he said, 'that God has no favorites, but that anybody of any nationality who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. Acts 10:34-35

In these last days, we will hear these declarations and proclamations of "insecure" men and those whose minds the enemy has blinded. However, I have had the blessed opportunity to meet, fellowship with, and come to personally know some former "anti-women" preachers. These men have a great deal of respect and admiration for our calling and it was the LORD
that gave them the understanding of our calling when they were open to hear what the Spirit said to the Churches.

One of them in particular is a Bishop I know. He was one of the biggest opponents for years until he finally did a search of the scriptures. He pursued this interest with an intent to understand the etymology of each word. On that day, the Lord revealed to him through the scriptures that women were called to preach, teach, evangelize, prophesy, proclaim, declare,
oversee, minister, and serve the flock of God. I've heard him teach others about the calling of women and how God has placed them in every position in the Church. He wanted the general board to commission me to the office of Bishop in 2006. They refused, but compromised to the title of "Overseer." He laughed when he presented the credentials to me at the April 2006 church conference. He read the Ordination certificate aloud to the congregation and remarked that it stated the same language as the Bishop.

He knew that he still was dealing with men who refuse to accept the authenticity of women. Some of his peers can't comprehend his change, but we know that the Word of God is the Transforming power and gives the renewing of the mind.

So I say this to you, keep on preaching. You will continue for the remainder of your life and ministry to encounter the sexism, racism, classism, and other "ism" in the church which are not of God. Your advice below is certainly in line with the scriptures.

I too have encountered this disregard for women in ministry everywhere I have traveled. It is very prevalent in churches in so-called liberal California. It seems the worst in Baptist churches in California and throughout the south. However we know that God causes all things to work for the good of them who are called according to his purpose.

That evening they brought him many who were possessed by devils. He drove out the spirits with a command and cured all who were sick. This was to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:

The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

The women were terrified and bowed low before them. Then the men asked, "Why are you looking in a tomb for someone who is alive? He isn't here! He has come back to life again! Don't you remember what he told you back in Galilee-that the Messiah must be betrayed into the power of evil men and be crucified and that he would rise again the third day?"

Everyone is to examine himself and only then eat of the bread or drink from the cup; because a person who eats and drinks without recognizing the body is eating and drinking his own condemnation. If we are critical of ourselves we would not be condenmed, but when we are judged by the Lord, we are corrected by the Lord to save us from being condemned along with the world. 1 Corinthians 11:28-32

For the Almighty has done great things for me. Holy is his name, and his faithful love extend age after age to those who fear him.

Good Morning Our Heavenly Father, Father its once again that your children are gathered in your name, we come together in unity, we come in love and we come with thanksgiving. You have been so dear to us, we are so grateful for you being presence in our hearts. Thank you for how you have watched over us and protected us. We say “thank you”. We ask that you will forgive us for our sins, Father, wash and purge us from all unrighteousness. You are a Holy God, you are pure and righteous. We give you praise and we magnify you.
